On April 21 the personnel of the University as a whole unit including the authority, the teaching staff, the employers and students went out for the all-city subbotnik. The mopping up went on the University’s territory outlined by the city’s maslihat (Y.Dukenuly), the study-rooms, auditoriums of the teaching building and the students’ hostel.

On April 16 at the "Turan-Astana" University the event dedicated to the Day of Cosmonautics took place.

For high spirits possessed all: the warm spring-like morning, melody of the song "Earth through the illuminator," the happy faces of students, guests in the persons of the youth wing "Zhas Otan" and pupils of № 28 school.

The main character of the event - Hero of the Soviet Union, Halyk Kaһarmany, test pilot, astronaut, researcher, Major-General, Doctor of the technical sciences, professor at the "Turan-Astana" University Aubakirov Tokhtar Ongarbaevich.

Staff, faculty and members of the Youth Committee prepared theatrical biographical performance about the dreams of the boy - a young Tokhtar Aubakirova, which reflected the formation of a schoolboy, the formation of the future astronaut: a visit to Karaganda Aeroclub, years of training in a flight school in Armavir.

The action on stage started with the voice of the great radio announcer U.B Levitan, who reported the world's first manned space flight.

 There were congratulatory words of the rector of the university, Professor Dzhaparova G. A – and then Tokhtar Ongarbaevich Aubakirov came on the stage. He shared his memories of flying into space, with appreciation and with great pride talking about his fellow astronauts: Tereshkova Valentina Vladimirovna, German Stepanovich Titov, Musabayev Talgat Amangeldievich.

This meeting has left an indelible mark in the hearts of attendants. After all, it was a lesson of courage, valor, patriotism, and the desire to achieve goals.

         On 13 th April 2012 аt the «Turan-Astana» University there was held A Day of the Open Doors of the University in which there took part the school-leavers and graduates of the colleges of the city of Astana. At the entrance the teachers and students of the University were greeting the guests (applicants and school and college teachers) and consulting on the all issues of interest relating to the admission to the University.

  The official part of the meeting there began the pro-rector on the teaching-methodical and science work, Cand.Econ.sc., associate professor Shaizhanov M.K., who, in his address he pointed out the main directions of training of the specialists at the «Turan-Astana» University. In the framework of the Day of the Open Doors there were carried out the informational excursion around the University, the specialties presentations, the off-school Olympiad in Geography, the profile disciplines testing, master-classes in art, drawing, and design, psychological consulting and a training on «Self-perception», the contest «I am a would-be economist», the concert program with the KVN participants.

   All the guests received the detailed information and consultation on the specialties of the University directly from the teachers and heads of the chairs.
